The format of a day-sail from the Hamble - where to go - is entirely the choice of the charterer but often takes the following lines:

  • Meet aboard for coffee and snacks
  • 15 minute safety talk
  • Leave the berth and sail for 3 hours in the East or West Solent (depending on wind and tide)
  • Find a quiet spot, such as the Beaulieu or Medina Rivers, for lunch
  • Sail for the Hamble during the afternoon, enjoying tea and cake on the way.

'DESIGN YOUR OWN DAY'

Cruising - Just tell us what you have in mind for a perfect day afloat, or let us give you some ideas

Racing - Those who enjoy the excitement of racing and the thrills of a regatta can entertain clients and friends very successfully by entering competitions and mixing sailing 'buffs' with those who are simply curious or keen to sample the experience.

The advantage of a regatta charter is that you can entertain a greater number of clients/friends over a short period (by changing some crew members each day), achieving a lower cost per head. See rates

Why not put a crew together and enjoy the fun and satisfaction gained by practising and sailing as a team ?

Don't be put off if you have no racing experience but want to have a go - most regattas run a class which prohibits the use of spinnakers, thereby enabling participants to race within their competence, giving them (and the owner !) greater peace of mind.
