cruising (or 12 when racing). A thoroughly sea-worthy yacht, she has proved
to be successful in competition and to be fast and comfortable when on

THE OWNER.... Mike Stevens sailed
Marinero back from Hong Kong in 1997, three years after he bought her
to live aboard, sail and race in the South China Sea. He spent 12 years
in the Merchant Service (including 2 years as Chief Officer of the 300-ton
Sail Training Schooner 'Sir Winston Churchill') gaining his Master's Certificate
before qualifying as a solicitor and commencing as a maritime lawyer in
the City, where he still practises (Dale
Stevens LLP). He also holds a Yachtmaster (Offshore) Certificate. He has raced 'Marinero' in various regattas including the Swan European Regatta, Cork Week etc., and local series in the Solent including the Little Britain Cup. |
